Job candidates' purgatory: multiple interviews per job
Mon Apr 16, 2012
I've interviewed and hired many people in the AE business. I pre-qualified the resumes HR gave to me and interviewed my top 3-4 candidates. I knew within in 15 minutes if I wanted to hire someone.
Rossen Reports: Anyone can buy guns, no questions asked
Thu Feb 9, 2012
Looks like the Rossen Report is off to an auspicious start. Don't think we could get much lamer than this. Perhaps you need to do a story on how texters while driving are more dangerous than drunk drivers. Oh wait a minute.....not as sensational.
Economic downturn took a detour at Capitol Hill
Mon Dec 26, 2011
Term limits. Now. These elected jobs need to go back to being a public service, not the citizens being their public servants.
iPads in the cockpit irk tech-savvy fliers
Wed Dec 14, 2011
The reality is, on the ground, there are hundreds of FM radio and TV stations (200,000 watts) AM radio stations (50,000 watts), walkie talkies from everyone from the ground crew to the ticket counter (5 watts) and then all the business radios, CB radios, government antennas, cell phone towers within …

Police on leave after protesters pepper sprayed
Mon Nov 21, 2011
The spraying was a little over the top, but they were asked to move on. I don't see why they don't just use plain old water. Not the fire hoses of the 60's but just a "good 'ol soaking" from a hose on a heavy mist.
How a financial professional lost his house
Wed Nov 9, 2011
It's hard to feel sorry for the guy. I saw all my friends up-trading houses, buying McMansions, driving new cars, taking the latest trip. We never bought into the unsustainalbe housing market. We still live in our sweat equity house which has an asset to debt ratio of 3:1.
'Stairway to Heaven' turns 40 -- let's retire it with these other classics
Tue Nov 8, 2011
A few years ago, at some apres' ski bar in Vail, I requested "Stairway to Freebird". The lone guitar player looked at me and said, "I think I can do that". He proceeded to play the tune from one and sing the words to the other. We were stunned. $20 went into the tip jar.
Corzine-run firm admits using clients' money
Tue Nov 1, 2011
Careful MSNBC.....Corzine was a Democrat. You can't be bad mouthing this guy to the OWS people as this was part of the Obama team.
Ouch! Does this year's flu shot hurt more?
Thu Oct 27, 2011
I got mine about 2 weeks ago and never had an issue with injection pain until this year. My wife mentioned her's from 3 days ago still hurt. We compared notes. Same thing. (They must have used a needle this loooooooong?)
